Why is a Handycard cardholder losing access to my Business account?

Handycards are being phased out as they’re no longer offered or supported.

If a cardholder currently has access to your Business account using a Personal Handycard they will receive a new Personal Westpac Debit Mastercard®, however this new card can’t be linked to your Business account.

We understand this may be disruptive, and we’re here to help you through the change.

How can I restore cardholder access to my Business account?

If you’d like a cardholder to continue accessing your Business account, you’ll need to request for a new card that’s linked to your Business account. This ensures they can keep using a card to access the account, even after their Handycard access ends.

We’ll notify the cardholder directly with the date their Handycard access will stop, so you’ll have time to make any changes needed.

How do I set up a new card for a cardholder?

You’ll need to complete our Business Debit Mastercard Form (PDF 840KB), then submit it to your Relationship Manager or any Westpac branch for verification and processing.

When can I set up a new card for a cardholder?

You can begin the process as soon as you receive a letter or email from us notifying you of the change.
