What is a pending transaction?

A pending transaction occurs when you use a credit or debit card to make a payment in-store or online. We process and take the transaction amount from your available funds. The amount is temporarily held and appears as a 'pending transaction' while we wait for the merchant to confirm your payment. This usually takes up to 5 business days, but in some cases may take longer.

Once the merchant confirms your payment, the transaction will finish processing and no longer be pending.
