Things to know when your card is about to expire

This page outlines what happens as your card approaches its expiry date and the simple steps you can take to stay on track.

What happens next?

  • New card sent automatically: You don't need to do anything, your replacement card will be issued automatically and should arrive by the end of the month your current card expires.
  • Current card: You can use your current card until the last day of the expiry month shown on the card.
  • Push notifications for card dispatch: We'll send you a push notification in the Westpac App when your new card is on the way. Enable push notifications by going to Profile > Notifications & communication.

Making sure your replacement arrives smoothly

  • Check your address: Make sure your contact details are up to date.
  • Check your account: Your account must be in good standing.
