Can someone else use Alexa to access my Westpac accounts?

When you set up the Westpac Banking skill, you will be prompted to set up a 4-digit passcode which you will need to provide before Alexa responds to questions about your Westpac accounts.

If this security measure is bypassed (e.g. you disable passcode at set up), or if someone else knows your passcode (e.g. by overhearing you say the passcode to Alexa), it is possible that someone else could access information about your linked Westpac accounts through Alexa in the same way that you could. You are responsible for how Alexa is used, and all communication with the Westpac Banking skill via Alexa.

Alexa does not have access to your Westpac customer ID and password, and it is not possible to obtain this information through Alexa. For information on the type of information Amazon collects and how it handles your personal information, please see Amazon’s Privacy Policy (including the Alexa Internet Privacy Policy), or visit the Alexa Terms of Use.
