What happens after I make an international money transfer online?

With an international money transfer, the money may not leave your account immediately. You can check your pending payment listings to view the payment receipt. When the transfer has been sent the status will change to ‘sent’.

The international money transfer will usually be available to the recipient within 1-2 banking days of Westpac processing the transfer. However, please be aware that in some circumstances the processing period may be longer and is outside of Westpac’s control.
