Will my Daily Card Limits change with the new Westpac Debit Mastercard®?


If you’re switching from a Handycard to a Westpac Debit Mastercard®, Daily Card Limits may change on your new Westpac Debit Mastercard®. 


However, it will now be split between cash withdrawals and transaction limits individually, which means it will be double the overall daily card limit of your Handycard. 


For example, a Handycard with a AUD$2000 daily limit will become AUD$2000 for cash withdrawals and AUD$2000 for purchases daily.

How can I update the Daily Card Limits?

You can change your update your Westpac Debit Mastercard® daily transaction limit and cash withdrawal limit in Online Banking or the Westpac App. 

 


In the Westpac App

Before trying these instructions make sure you update to the latest version of the app.

  1. Select Change Debit Mastercard Limit or Search Debit Card limit in the Smart Search bar
  2. Select the card to be updated
  3. Follow prompts to enter the new limit(s)
  4. Tap Continue, Submit then Done.

In Online Banking

  1. Select Change Debit Mastercard Limit or Go to Service > Change Debit Mastercard limit 
  2. Select the card to be updated
  3. Follow prompts to enter the new limit(s)
  4. Tap Continue, Submit then Done.

What happens to daily limits if I have both a Westpac Debit Mastercard® and a Handycard? 

If you already have a Westpac Debit Mastercard®, your Handycard will be closed and your daily limits may be subject to change. 

You can review and adjust your limits at any time by logging in to Westpac Online Banking.
