Scams come in many forms - mail, email, phone, online and door-to-door. They're designed to trick you into giving away your money, passwords and/or personal details.
Westpac related scam
Reporting scams is really important as it allows us to quickly investigate the information you've sent and use it to minimise the chance of others being affected.
Just forward the hoax email or scam details to email@example.com. Please note while we monitor this email inbox 24/7, we're unable to respond directly to individual emails. You will receive an automated reply as a confirmation that we have received your email and we will be acting upon it.
You can report SMS scams by forwarding the hoax SMS messages to us on 0497 132 032.
However, if you believe your security has been compromised or you notice a transaction you did not make, contact us immediately on 132 032.
Non Westpac related scam
Report any non Westpac related scams to SCAMwatch an independent website run by the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC).
SCAMwatch provides information to consumers and small businesses on how to recognise, avoid and report scams. Anything reported to SCAMwatch will be analysed and acted on by the ACCC.
