How can I close an account?
Before closing your account, ensure any outstanding cheques are presented and all periodic payments and direct debits are cancelled.
Then visit a branch and provide sufficient identification to close your account.

If the account has a credit balance, provide details of where and how you would like the funds disbursed. (if bank cheque is required, a fee of $10 is payable)
If the account has a debit balance, the amount plus any accrued charges will need to be paid to the bank prior to closing the account.

Note: You cannot close your account online.
