How do I make a BPAY® payment?

 

You can make a BPAY® payment using Online Banking, Mobile Banking or Tablet Banking if you are registered for Westpac ProtectTM SMS Code. You can also make a BPAY® payment using Telephone Banking.

To make a BPAY® payment using Online Banking:
 

  1. Look for the BPAY® logo on your bills
  2. Sign in to Online Banking
  3. Select the 'Make a payment' button on the Overview page
  4. Select 'Create a new payee'
  5. In the payment method dropdown menu, select BPAY®. Enter the 'Biller code' found on your bill. Select 'Look up biller' and select the correct biller
  6. Enter your customer reference number. Select 'Confirm'
  7. Your new BPAY® biller has now been added to your payee list
  8. Enter your payment details
  9. Review your payment details and select 'Confirm'
  10. You will be sent an SMS code to your registered device. Enter the SMS code and select 'Authorise'
  11. Your BPAY® payment is complete. You may print, save or email your receipt

To make a BPAY® payment using Mobile Banking:

  1. Sign in to Mobile Banking
  2. Tap 'Make payment' at the top of the screen
  3. Choose your 'From' account
  4. Tap under 'To' to bring up your list of billers
  5. Tap 'Add (+)' to add a new BPAY® biller
  6. Select 'Add a new biller'
  7. Enter the Biller code and your Customer reference number found on your bill and change the Payee nickname if required
  8. Tap 'Create'
  9. Enter the payment details including the Amount, Description and payment date
  10. To make the payment recurring, tap on 'How often' and choose the payment frequency
  11. Tap 'Continue' then 'Confirm'
  12. You will be sent an SMS Code to your registered device
  13. Enter the SMS Code and tap 'Continue' to complete your payment
  14. Your receipt number will be displayed and you can choose to email payment details or make another payment.


To make a BPAY® payment using Tablet Banking:
 

  1. Drag your 'From:' account to the Payment zone on the right hand side of the screen and drop the coin onto the BPAY® zone
  2. Tap on the ‘To’ account to bring up the Address Book to select an existing BPAY® biller
  3. Tap '+' to add a new BPAY® biller
  4. Enter the Biller code and your Customer reference number found on your bill
  5. Enter the payment details including the Amount, Description and payment date
  6. Tap 'Make Payment' then 'Confirm'
  7. You will be sent an SMS Code to your registered device
  8. Enter the SMS Code and tap 'Authorise' to complete your payment
  9. Your receipt number will be displayed and you can choose to email payment details.

To make a BPAY® payment using Telephone Banking:
 

Call 132 032 and select Option 1.  Key in your eight digit customer number and three digit password and follow the prompts.
