Yes, when paying a new payee or making a first time payment to a BPAY biller you will be prompted to use an SMS code.

Yes, as every fingerprint is unique.

The passcode you use is specific to the device.

Yes. Westpac does not collect your fingerprint details.

Any fingerprint that is stored on your iPad can be used to sign in to the iPad app.

Yes. As per the operating system requirements, you will be required to password protect your iPad before you can set up fingerprint sign in.

Go to Settings > Touch ID & Passcode.

Yes. Once fingerprint sign in is activated, any fingerprint which is stored on your iPad can be used to sign in to the iPad app.

What happens if I scan my fingerprint incorrectly more than 5 times?
If fingerprint authentication fails, you will be locked out of the device.

You will need to register your fingerprint on your new iPad.

Yes 4 digit passcode can be set up or cleared at any time.

No, signing out is not automatic when you close the app.

Yes. Notify us before you travel to help us protect you from fraud when you’re overseas using Tablet Banking.

What happens if I enter my 4 digit passcode incorrectly more than 3 times?
If you enter your 4 digit passcode incorrectly more than 3 times you will be locked out of Online Banking.

Another person would need your 8 digit customer ID and password to access your accounts.

You will need to set up 4 digit passcode again.

What if the app is not accepting my fingerprint after registering? What do I do?
If fingerprint sign in does not work, you can revert to your existing password or you can create a 4 digit passcode to sign in.

If the 4 digit passcode does not work, you can revert to using your 8 digit customer ID and password to sign in.
