It is important to keep on top of your home repairs to ensure to ensure little things don’t become a bigger issue down the track. For example, if a storm caused water damage to your ceiling, you may not be fully covered if the water entered because your roof was not properly maintained.
You can have a home office, but it’s important to tell Allianz if you plan to use any part of your home as a business premises. If you don’t, Allianz may not pay a claim, in whole or in part, under the policy to the extent permitted by law.
Yes. If you’d like to be covered when you’re using your laptops, tablets, mobile phones, smart watches, or other wearable devices outside your home, you can list them as portable contents under the Portable Contents cover, for an additional cost. Portable Contents does not cover cracked glass or screens when this is the only damage to the item.
Yes. Altering the security on your property may change the conditions of your home insurance, which could affect your premium. You should call Allianz as soon as you remove or stop using any security devices that were specifically required under your policy. If you don’t let them know, and you need to make a claim, your claim may be declined or reduced.
Your contents are covered if they are in a locked storage cage in the basement of the strata title apartment building of the insured address.

1Pay by instalment at no additional cost compared with paying annually. Instalments may be subject to minor adjustments due to rounding. Note: Your financial institution may apply transaction fees to instalment payments.
2Policyholders need to ensure their personal details on their policy match with their Westpac accounts. Only primary policyholders can see policies alongside their other Westpac accounts.
3Allianz may not provide cover for any loss of or damage to your property caused by cyclone, flood, grassfires and bushfires during the first 72 hours after you first purchase a policy or increase your cover under an existing policy. Refer to PDS for when exclusion periods apply.
4The Building and Contents calculators provided by Allianz through a third-party provider, are intended as a guide only. For a more accurate cost to rebuild your home or replace your contents, consider obtaining a professional valuation from a licensed builder or professional valuer.
