Westpac Altitude credit cards offer you a choice between three great rewards programs - Altitude Rewards, Altitude Velocity or Altitude Qantas.

Our Black cards offer our highest level of rewards. You can choose to earn Altitude Points, Velocity Points or Qantas Points on our Altitude Black cards.

  • Altitude Points – earn Altitude Points and you can redeem your points on over 2,000 rewards including premium brand and lifestyle products, gift vouchers and frequent flyer points in a range of airline programs
  • Qantas Points – earn Qantas Points5 and you can redeem your points for flights and upgrades (where available) on Qantas, Jetstar and 35 partner airlines, and Qantas Store items. A $75 annual Altitude Qantas Rewards Program fee applies.
  • Velocity Points – earn Velocity Points and you can redeem your points for flights and upgrades, fuel, care hire or hotel stays, or a choice of rewards at the Velocity Rewards Store. A $75 annual Altitude Velocity Rewards Program fee applies.4

What is included in the everyday spend category? 

Here are some examples of stores that are included in our everyday spend category.  

  • Supermarkets include stores such as Woolworths, Coles, IGA, Harris Farm and ALDI. 
  • Department stores include stores such as Kmart, Target, Big W, David Jones and Myer. 
  • Petrol stations include stores such as 7-Eleven, Shell, Ampol, Caltex and BP. 
  • Dining includes restaurants, cafes, fast food, bars, hotels and entertainment venues. 
  • Utilities include payments for water, gas, electricity, internet, mobile and streaming services (excluding BPAY® payments.) 

What is a statement cycle?

The period from one statement date to the next statement date is called the monthly statement cycle. The statement date is the date your statement is issued.

When do points expire?

  • Altitude points have no expiry date as long as you have an Altitude account
  • Once your account is closed you have 90 days to redeem your Altitude Points
  • The expiry of Velocity Points, Qantas Points and Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer miles is determined by the airlines’ terms and conditions. Please visit their websites for details.

†Eligible purchases do not include interest, fees and charges, cash or ATM cash advances, cash equivalent transactions, gambling transactions, a purchase from or payment to a local, state or federal government or government related agency, BPAY or similar transactions (such as Post Billpay), refunds and balance transfers debited from the card account.

~If you choose to make any payment in any category using an intermediary service (such as Afterpay, PayPal or similar services), these transactions will be categorised as 'all other purchases'. We classify transactions using information provided to us by the card scheme (Visa or Mastercard), which tells us about the main type of business conducted by the Merchant.

Qantas points: The earning and redemption of Qantas Points is subject to the Earth Rewards Terms and Conditions (PDF 107KB) for Earth cardholders, and Altitude Terms and Conditions (PDF 117KB) for Altitude cardholders. You must be a member of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program to earn and redeem points in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program.

6. Kris Flyer Miles: The earning and redemption of KrisFlyer miles is subject to the Singapore Airlines Westpac Platinum Credit Cards Conditions of Use (PDF 361KB). You must be a member of the KrisFlyer programme to earn and redeem miles in accordance with the terms and conditions of the KrisFlyer programme.

Rewards Points: The earning and redemption of Altitude Points, Velocity Points and Qantas Points are subject to the Altitude Terms and Conditions (PDF 117KB). Purchases that are not eligible to earn Rewards Points are set out in the Altitude Terms and Conditions (PDF 117KB). You do not receive points if you have not paid the Minimum Payment Due in full and on time and in other circumstances. Points earnt for PartPay (PDF 96KB) Purchases are based on the full value of the purchase, and not on each instalment amount. Qantas and Velocity Points earned during a statement cycle are added to your respective Points balance on a monthly basis.
