4 things you might not realise concierge can do

Complimentary concierge services come with many platinum and premium rewards cards these days. But while there are plenty of things you’d expect from your concierge service, there are also some great things you wouldn’t.

Restaurant reservations? Yes. Flight information? Makes sense. Hotel bookings? Of course. But below are just some of the services you might be surprised to learn your concierge may be able to provide, subject to availability. If they’re your cup of tea, why not make the most of them?

1. Booking your hair and makeup for that big event

If you’re in a strange city, it can be hard to know the best people to do your hair and/or makeup or where to get an appointment at short notice. Your concierge should be able to recommend someone reputable and even make the booking for you, so you’ll be looking your best.

2. Finding yourself a holiday house

Why spend time trawling through websites looking for holiday houses if your concierge can do it for you? Enlisting the help of a 24/7 concierge service to do this for you could make getting away a whole lot easier.

3. Help with moving to a new home

Another little-known concierge service is assistance with relocations. Whether you’re shifting interstate or overseas, moving can be daunting and it takes time to familiarise yourself with your new home. So check out how your concierge can help with your move and finding your way around once you’re there.

4. Finding the perfect gift for your mother in law

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if you had a personal assistant to help you source that special gift, pay for it and even have it delivered? Well, your concierge should be able to help you do just that. Most concierge services are experts at helping you find just the thing.

In short, knowing the extent of your concierge service can save you time, money and running around. Best of all, while you obviously have to pay for any products or services purchased, the actual concierge service is free.
