If we do not have your current email address, we will be unable to send you email notifications and, for Credit Card accounts and eligible Mortgage account statements only, we'll recommence sending your statements to you by mail. We will also recommence sending your statements to you by mail if you cease to be registered for Online Banking, or if your account becomes ineligible to receive non-paper statements, due to account type or account status.

Your eligible accounts will be displayed on the 'Statements' screen in Online Banking. Any account you hold that is ineligible will not appear.

There are some cases where you will not be able to stop receiving paper statements for an eligible account type. This may be because it is linked to a mortgage account in an offset arrangement or a permanent overdraft is loaded on the account.

If an account becomes ineligible, it will revert to paper statements. More details on eStatements

Joint accounts

Savings and transaction accounts

  • Joint customers can elect to be placed on eStatements when creating a new account.
  • Existing joint savings and transactions accounts not currently on eStatements, cannot be switched to eStatements.
  • Additionally, any account currently on eStatements which is moved back to paper statements will not be able to switch back to eStatements.

Credit card accounts

  • For credit card accounts only the primary cardholder can elect to switch to eStatements or stop receiving paper statements.

If you choose to stop receiving paper statements for a joint account, we will send an email notification to one account holder only each time an eStatement becomes available for viewing in Online Banking.
