How to Apply Online

Our Altitude Business Platinum credit card is a personal liability product that is designed for sole trader or partnership business structures. You can apply securely online and receive a response in 60 seconds.

Step 1. Check your business is eligible to apply

  • Your Business must be registered in Australia
  • You have a minimum 2 years experience in the same or similar business
  • You’re at least 18 years old and a permanent resident or Australian citizen

Step 2. Have the following information ready

  • Business details e.g. ABN
  • Latest business financial statements
  • Relevant personal financial information

One additional cardholder at no extra cost

With our Altitude Business Platinum credit card, request one additional cardholder and we’ll waive the annual card fee for the additional cardholder each year.

 

The primary cardholder is liable for all transactions on the additional card as well as their own card.

Applies for transactions in a foreign currency, or in Australian dollars but processed by an overseas merchant or financial institution.

Note: It may not always be clear to you that the Merchant or entity processing the transaction is located outside Australia.

Cash Advance Fee

3% of the value of the transaction will apply to each cash advance made on your card account.

These charges will appear on your credit card statement directly below the relevant cash advance.

 


Frequently asked questions

A business credit card can have personal or business liability. This just means who will repay transactions made on the credit card. 

  1. Personal Liability. The business owner is personally responsible for all transactions on the credit card account. It’s suited for small businesses (including sole traders and partnerships) where the business owner takes personal responsibility for the balance owing on the credit card account. 

    Applying for Personal Liability
    For Personal Liability you will need to provide details of your individual income, employment, personal expenses and liabilities. 

  2. Business Liability. The Business is liable for the payment for all transactions on the facility. It’s suited for business entities where the owners or other responsible individuals would prefer the business, rather than themselves to be liable for the balance owing on the facility. 

    Applying for Business Liability
    For Business Liability applications you will need to provide details of the Businesses income, expenses, liabilities and assets together with supporting information. 

An eligible purchase is a transaction made using a business credit card to earn rewards points.

You will not earn points on the following transactions:

  • BPAY payments,
  • Balance Transfers
  • Cash Advance
  • Interest and other bank fees and charges
  • Government charges (other than GST payable in connection with the purchase of goods or services on which you earn points)
  • Purchase refunds and other credits such as cash back, made to your business credit card

Things you should know

Up to 150,000 Altitude Rewards Bonus Points Offer (‘Bonus Points’) is available for new Altitude Business Platinum credit card applications which have been approved between 28 January 2026 and 30 April 2026 and meet the promotional bonus points offer criteria. You must spend a minimum of $6,000 on eligible purchases in the first 60 days, from card approval to receive 100,000 Altitude Bonus Points. Points will be issued within 3 months of meeting the minimum spend criteria. Receive an additional 50,000 Altitude bonus points if your account remains open and active for more than 15 months, from card activation. These additional points will be credited to your points balance within 12 weeks, after the first eligible purchase is made in the second year of your account being active. If you do not meet the minimum spend within 60 days of card approval, you forfeit the initial 100,000 bonus points only. However, you are still eligible for 50,000 bonus points in the second year, if your account is active and not in default.

Eligible purchases do not include fees, cash advances, cash equivalent transactions, BPAY, BPAY equivalent transactions, refunds and balances transfers debited from a card account.

This offer excludes: Transactions that have not cleared or have been refunded before the end of the first 60 days from approval, customers who switch or upgrade from another Westpac business credit card product, customers accessing employee and family benefits offers or customers who have held another Business credit card within the last 12 months.

Earning and redeeming Altitude reward points: You can earn and redeem Altitude rewards points as set out in the Altitude Business Rewards Terms and Conditions (PDF 120KB). You do not receive points if your card account is in arrears for 2 consecutive statement cycles and in other circumstances. Altitude reward points do not expire while you remain an Altitude card holder. You must be a member of the relevant frequent flyer program to redeem Altitude points for frequent flyer points. The terms and conditions of the relevant frequent flyer programs also apply. A joining fee may apply for these frequent flyer programs. Availability of award flights may be limited.

You must have earned a minimum of 3,000 Altitude points before you can redeem any rewards. For Altitude Business Gold cards, a points cap of 20,000 points applies when using either or both cards. Bonus points do not count towards the points cap.

2. Read the Westpac Online Banking Terms and Conditions (PDF 633KB) before making a decision. Not all accounts* are eligible to be included in a bank feed. Not all third-party service providers support bank feeds for all accounts.

Bank feeds must be set up with third-party service provider before it can be connected in Westpac Online Banking. If your third-party service provider doesn’t appear in the drop-down menu in Westpac Online Banking, you may need to check that your third-party service provider is registered with Westpac. Should there be any changes to your user access or network access levels, you may need to disconnect your bank feed(s) as any access changes won’t impact bank feeds.  The products and services offered by third-party service providers are subject to their own terms and conditions and fees and charges.  Westpac doesn’t guarantee or endorse the services or products offered by third-party service providers.

*Currently Business Credit Cards and Business Term Deposits accounts aren’t available for third-party service provider’s except MYOB. This may be extended to other third-party service providers in the future.
