Another layer of defence at your fingertips, whether it’s a gut feel or you see unusual activity.

Instant certainty

With the push of a button, no new payments, transfers, purchases or ATM withdrawals can go through.

Security without disruption

Credits, pre-scheduled payments and recurring subscription fees normally paid by direct debit will be processed as normal.

How it will work

You can access Westpac SafeBlock through the app or Online Banking, locking your account in a few simple steps.

Once SafeBlock is activated, no new payments, transfers or purchases can go through.

You'll be able to report any unusual transactions for our team to investigate. We'll contact you if there's suspected fraud or scam activity.

Once you're comfortable with your banking, you can simply verify your identity to unblock your accounts.
