Update the daily limit of a business debit card

Manage the daily limits of a business debit card in Online Banking or in the Westpac App.

Types of cardholder access

  • Full Access - provides the cardholder with unrestricted access to all features of the business debit card.
  • Limited Access - restricts the cardholder to specific features of the business debit card. Limited access cards have no cash withdrawal privileges and the cardholder cannot update the daily limit themselves.

Daily limits that can be updated

  • Daily spend – includes contactless payments and online purchases. Applicable to both Full and Limited Access business debit card.
  • Cash withdrawal – includes ATM, EFTPOS and Bank@Post. Applicable to only Full Access business debit card.

How do I update my card’s daily limit?

I am a Full Access business debit card holder and registered for Online Banking

What if I’m not registered for personal Online Banking or I am a Limited Access business debit card holder, how do I update my card’s daily limit?

An authorised Administrator of the Business Network can update the daily limit on your behalf by following the below steps.

In the Westpac App

  1. Log on to the Westpac App
  2. Tap Business at the bottom, then Card services > Change debit card limit
  3. Select the account linked to the card you want to update and follow the prompts
  4. The limit update is effective instantly and will remain active until a new limit is set

In Online Banking

  1. Log on to Westpac Online Banking
  2. From your dashboard go to Service > Services > Change debit card limit
  3. Select the account linked to the card you want to update and follow the prompts
  4. The limit update is effective instantly and will remain active until a new limit is set
