How can I hide my accounts?

You can’t remove your accounts section completely, but you can choose to hide certain accounts.

Customise your home screen

  1. Search Customise home
  2. Choose the modules you want to see (indicated by a tick), choose a wallpaper or edit your favourite accounts
  3. Drag and drop modules to reorder​

Set a profile picture

  1. Tap the Profile icon
  2. Tap the circle next to your Customer ID
  3. Take a photo or choose one from your library

Change your Westpac App icon

  1. Tap the Profile icon 
  2. Tap App settings
  3. Tap App icon, and choose your preference

Rename your account

The nickname you choose is specific to your profile. Joint account holders can choose their own nickname for the same account.


Nicknames can be letters, numbers and special characters including spaces and must be less than 30 characters.

In the Westpac App

  1. Tap the account​
  2. Tap Account details
  3. Tap Edit to add Nickname​, then tap return on your keypad

In Online Banking

  1. Go to Service > Preferences > Accounts
  2. Select the account
  3. Add Nickname and select Save​​
