How to claim

In Australia:

Call Vero 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on 1800 805 458 option 4.

If overseas:

Stolen property

  • If your property is stolen or maliciously damaged, you must report this to the local police or local Government authority within 24 hours and obtain a copy of their report.

Lost or damaged property

  • If you're in transit,you must report the loss or damage to your transport provider within 72 hours of you becoming aware of it and obtain a written copy of the report
  • If property is lost or damaged in other circumstances, you must report this to Vero within 72 hours of either: the loss or damage becoming known to you, or your return to your home, or the date of expiry shown on your schedule, whichever happens first.
  • If you recover lost, damaged or stolen goods, you must keep them and let Vero inspect them if needed.

Things you might need to provide

When claiming, you must give Vero all the information and documentation we request. This may include, but is not limited to, medical certificates, doctor and police reports, receipts, invoices, airline, train or bus tickets and luggage tags.
