Everyday tools to help stay secure

Add an extra layer of protection

Extra security can help protect your accounts if your password is compromised. Set up Security Codes or learn about different sign in options that help keep your online banking secure. 

Turn on automatic software and app updates

Updates often include security improvements that help protect your device and accounts. Turn on automatic updates via your mobile settings and make sure you’re using the latest version of the Westpac App.

Make passwords hard to crack

Strong, unique passwords make it harder for others to access your accounts. Always choose a different password for every account and avoid reusing passwords across sites and services.

Check before you click

Unexpected messages, links or requests for personal information may be phishing. Pause before you respond and remember Westpac will never send you a link to sign into Online Banking via email or SMS.
