What is BPAY?

BPAY  is a service that allows you to securely manage and pay your bills online 24/7.
  • Pay bills to over 45,000 businesses in Australia
  • Pay by Phone Banking, Online Banking, or in the Westpac App
  • Avoid waiting in queues to pay your bills
  • Schedule recurring BPAY  payments or choose a date in advance to make a payment
  • Store biller details so you can quickly pay next time
  • With BPAY View®, you can receive bills in Online or Mobile Banking, with the option to pay straight away or schedule payment for later*

To make payments to a BPAY Biller

You’ll need to register for Westpac ProtectTM SMS Code

View steps

  1. Sign in to Mobile Banking
  2. Tap Pay from the bottom menu
  3. Under ‘From’, tap ‘Choose an account’
  4. Tap the bank account you want to make a payment from
  5. Enter a description that will appear on your statement
  6. Under ‘To’, tap ‘Choose a payee or biller’
  7. To pay an existing biller tap the BPAY® icon or to add a new biller tap the ‘+’ icon on the top menu
  8. Enter the Biller code and Customer reference number located on your bill. Once you’ve checked that the details are correct, tap ‘Next’
  9. Under ‘Payment details’, tap ‘Amount’ and enter the amount you need to pay.
  10. Tap to expand the ‘When’ and ‘How often’ section
  11. Select the transfer date and frequency, then tap ‘Choose date’ to confirm
  12. Tap ‘Next’ to continue
  13. Review your payment details and when you’re ready, tap ‘Confirm’
  14. A Westpac Protect SMS® Code will then be sent to your registered mobile phone number. Enter the SMS Code and tap ‘Next’
  15. Your BPAY® payment is now complete.  If you want to send a copy of the receipt either tap ‘Email a receipt’ or ‘Quick share’


BPAY View allows you to receive, view, and store your bills in Online or Mobile Banking, all in the same convenient and secure location. You have the option to pay straight away or schedule payment for later

You need to be registered for BPAY View before bills can be accessed through Online Banking.

To register a bill, Sign In to Westpac Online Banking on your desktop and go to Payments > BPAY View
