Domestic and Family Violence

We want to empower our people, customers and members of the communities we serve experiencing violence in the home to move towards a life free from violence.

We are doing this by providing tailored products for our customers, and training, support and tools and a work environment where employees experiencing family violence feel safe and supported to seek help. Westpac Group established a working group against Family Violence in August 2015 to specifically focus on supporting our people and customers and members of the community to be free from violence in the home.

Support for our people

Westpac Group recognises that employees sometimes face violence and abuse in their personal life.
We aim to provide a safe and supportive working environment in which victims of domestic and family violence can come forward for help and support.
Employees experiencing domestic and family violence have access to a range of support measures including:

  • Counselling
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • Time off work
  • Financial assistance

Support for our customers

If you are a customer experiencing domestic and family violence, Westpac Group can help in protecting or strengthening your financial independence, managing your finances safely if and when you leave, or rebuilding for a secure long-term future.
