How POS integration works with a self-serve kiosk

  1. As the terminal is a fixed EFTPOS solution, it’s hard-wired and can optionally connect to a self-serve checkout or kiosk
  2. Your POS calculates the total payment due and sends it to the EFTPOS terminal
  3. Card payment is taken at the self-serve checkout/kiosk
  4. The transaction outcome is sent back to the POS to display to the cashier or customer
  5. After settling, daily takings can be accessed via the linked Westpac bank account2.

What cards and digital wallets does EFTPOS Flex accept?

EFTPOS Flex accepts eftpos, Mastercard®, Visa®, UnionPay, JCB and American Express® (subject to a separate agreement with American Express#). Plus, Apple Pay, Google PayTM, Samsung PayTM, Fitbit Pay and Garmin Pay.

EFTPOS Flex supports integration with over 500 Point of Sale (POS) systems using Linkly's integration software. The terminal can integrate with the majority of 'on-premises' POS systems found on Linkly's website

EFTPOS Flex connects to the internet via Wi-Fi or ethernet. If your terminal is linked to your POS via the provided USB cable and you’re using Windows 10 or above, EFTPOS Flex connects to the internet via your computer's existing network connection.

If you settle to an eligible Westpac transaction account, your takings will be available to you instantly, including on weekends and public holidays.2

^ $0 merchant fees for 3 months (Welcome Offer or Offer) To be eligible for the Offer, you must have an application approved for an EFTPOS Air, EFTPOS Now with Presto or EFTPOS Flex merchant facility between 1 April 2026 and 30 June 2026 (Offer Period) and settle into a Westpac Business transaction account.

Offer details:

  • EFTPOS Air - 0% flat transaction rate for eftpos, Mastercard, Visa cards for 3 months. After this date, the standard flat transaction rate will apply, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. The current standard flat transaction rate is 1.4%.
  • EFTPOS Now with Presto and EFTPOS Flex – 0% flat transaction rate for eftpos, Mastercard, Visa and UnionPay cards, plus a $0 monthly terminal fee/per device for 3 months. After this date, the standard flat transaction rate and monthly terminal fee will apply, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. The current standard flat transaction rate is 1.2%, plus the monthly terminal fee of $24.75 per device.

Exclusions:

  • Applications completed via digital channels for EFTPOS Air are excluded from the offer.
  • Our flat transaction rate pricing excludes American Express and JCB cards, as this is charged by American Express and subject to their eligibility and application criteria. 
  • Request based or event-driven merchant facility fees, such as terminal accessories, excessive chargeback and equipment not returned/damaged will still apply. Details can be found in Your guide to merchant fees and charges (PDF 105KB).
  • Business transaction account fees may apply. For a complete view of fees, please refer to the Deposit account for business customers Terms and Conditions (PDF 838KB).

  • Business Transaction accounts: Before making a decision about any of our Business Transaction Accounts, please read the terms and conditions available at westpac.com.au
  • Offer eligibility criteria, conditions and exclusions apply. The offer may be withdrawn or varied at any time, without notice or for any reason excluding applications already in progress.
  • The offer is only available to new merchant customers who have not held a merchant facility with Westpac in the last 12-months before 1 April 2026.
  

1. The Point of Sale solutions are supplied by POS providers, not Westpac. Westpac does not guarantee or endorse those products and any related services. Find out if your POS is compatible with the Linkly.

2. Westpac instant settlement functionality is not available between 9:30 pm and 11:00 pm - Sydney time. You can only perform a settlement once a day, before 9:30 pm (Sydney time). A settlement done after 11:00 will be processed as a settlement for the next day. Subject to system availability, settlement can take place 7 days a week. Settlement must be to an eligible Westpac transaction account. Instant Settlement functionality is not available on Corporate Online. Instant Settlement is only available for Mastercard®, Visa® and eftpos transactions (plus UnionPay if using EFTPOS Connect).
3. Our 1.2% flat transaction rate applies to eftpos, Mastercard ®, Visa and UnionPay but not to American Express or JCB cards.
4. Features listed may not be available with all POS systems.
