What is PayID Biller?

PayID Biller is a receivables solution that allows businesses to receive push payments i.e., initiated by customers in real-time using unique PayIDs that have an email address format.

PayID Biller is powered by the same PayID technology on the New Payments Platform (NPP). However, unspecified payments received into an ABN or Organisation PayID associated with your bank account will be challenging to reconcile with your receivables. PayID Biller solves this problem by enabling you to generate a unique PayID associated with a specific customer or payment, facilitating auto-matching and easy reconciliation. 

PayIDs have a range of formats including mobile numbers, email addresses, ABNs and Organisation IDs. Your customers will be familiar with using PayIDs as they likely have used mobile number or email number PayIDs to pay friends and family. PayID receivables solutions such as PayID Biller, use PayIDs in the format of an email address e.g. 1234567@billername.com.au – this enables you to include both a customer reference and your business name in the PayID. 

PayID Biller, like other Osko® payments, relies on account-to-account transactions. Credit cards are not supported for PayID payments.

Eligible Westpac clients are due to be able to start offering PayID Biller on QuickStream from September 2025. We can also support billers to trial and implement PayID Biller in preparation for that date. PayID Biller will be available through Westpac’s PayWay channel in 2026.
