What our graduates have to say
“As a Graduate in the Westpac Group Transformation Program, no two days are ever the same. I’ve had the privilege of experiencing rotations across diverse areas, including Financial Crime, Mortgages, Westpac Institutional Bank, and Environmental, Social, and Governance Risk.
My mornings usually start with a team coffee run to discuss updates and priorities for the day. From there, it's a mix of attending project workshops, leading stakeholder meetings, and carving out focus time to work on the deliverables I own. Lunch often means catching up with fellow grads or teammates along Darling Harbour, and after work, there are occasionally networking events which are a great opportunity to connect with people across the business.
Each day brings a new challenge—whether it’s collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance customer experiences, using data to solve complex problems, or contributing to key strategic initiatives. I have found the Westpac Group Transformation Program to be a rewarding journey that constantly pushes you to learn, adapt, and lead.”
Jasmine, 2024 Transformation Graduate
“Each day comes with opportunities and challenges in the Grad Program!
As a Transformation grad at Westpac, I have an exciting front seat to the future-focused change and innovation. My mornings usually kick off with a team meeting to align on progress and priorities. I lead a stream of work supporting tech-driven transformation in the Business Bank, so I share updates, seek feedback, and learn from my teammates. I often explore others’ work too—shadowing or supporting projects that spark my curiosity has broadened my exposure across the group.
Mid-morning, I’ll catch up over coffee with team members, fellow grads, or new contacts. These chats are great for learning about different roles, gaining career insights, and building my network. The culture here is incredibly open—everyone’s happy to connect.
The rest of my day is a mix of meetings, project work, and development opportunities. From Agile workshops to Lean certifications, there’s always something new to learn.
Each day brings fresh challenges and growth. The work is dynamic, and the grad experience has been incredibly rewarding."
Will, 2024 Transformation Graduate
