David is Chair of the Commonwealth Science, Industry & Research Organisation, the national research organisation for Australia, and Chair of JobsNSW, the NSW independent organisation responsible for the creation of 150,000 new jobs though to 2020. He advises squarepeg capital VC fund and is a director of multiple unlisted companies. He was previously CEO and Executive Director of Telstra and, before that, CEO Australia and New Zealand at IBM.
