A business will use ConnectID® to verify in real-time with Westpac that your identity has been confirmed by us. No need to fill out forms.

No need to provide identity documents such as your passport, and only share what's needed to complete a transaction.
Personal data you can share
With ConnectID, you’ll be able to share personal details with an accredited business such as your:
- Full name
- Date of Birth
- Phone number
- Residential address
- Email address
ConnectID eligibility
To share your personal details using ConnectID you’ll need to be 18 years or older and:
- Have a Westpac personal account
- Be registered for Westpac Online Banking.
You can share your personal details using ConnectID from an accredited business’s app or website. To share your details, simply select the ConnectID button, follow the prompts to ‘Verify with ConnectID’ and select Westpac as your provider.
This will take you through to a screen asking you to sign into the Westpac App. Once you've signed in, you'll be taken to a screen to give your consent to share your personal details with the business who requested it and the reason for the request.
Review the details, then confirm by selecting ‘Yes, share details’ and your personal details will be shared securely via ConnectID.
If any of the personal details shown aren't correct, you can update them from the 'Personal and Contact Details' screen in the Westpac App. Once you’ve updated them you can start the ConnectID process again from the business’s website or app.

ConnectID® is an initiative of Australian Payments Plus (AP+). AP+ brings together eftpos, BPAY, NPP Australia.
ConnectID is a registered trademark of ConnectID Pty Ltd ABN 80 648 970 101.
ConnectID is currently only available for personal banking customers and applies exclusively to mobile device-to-app interactions.
We will never share your personal details without your express consent. And only authorised businesses can utilise ConnectID and request your information. Each business undergoes thorough due diligence checks conducted by ConnectID.
Furthermore, only approved businesses can access details that is relevant to the specific purpose for which you have given consent.
We do not send SMS or email messages containing links for ConnectID transactions that require tapping or clicking. You will never be required to disclose your banking passwords to use the ConnectID service.
