How to receive your payment
Provide your payment information on My Payment Preference by selecting Next. It’s a secure platform where you can safely provide your financial institution account details.
Keep the email, letter or SMS we sent you nearby and have the following details ready:
- The unique code found in the email, letter or SMS we sent you
- Your mobile number
- Your date of birth
- Your preferred account details from an Australian financial institution.
Things you should know
Before you get started, it’s important that we let you know the following:
- To protect your information, the details you provide will only be used to make this single payment. If we contact you about another payment, you'll need to provide these details again.
- We can only send the funds to an Australian account held by you (solely or jointly).
- It may take up to 3 weeks to receive your funds.
- If we sent you a cheque, you can deposit it instead of providing your details online. If you do provide your details, we’ll cancel the cheque after your details have been submitted. If you've already deposited the cheque, you don't need to continue with this request.
- If you don’t complete a My Payment Preference request or deposit your cheque within 3 months from when we sent you the first email, letter or SMS, the cheque will be cancelled and the payment will either go to unclaimed monies or be donated to charity, depending on the payment amount. If you miss this deadline, call us on 1300 362 409.
- All personal information we collect about you is collected, used and disclosed by us in accordance with our Privacy Statement, which is available online or by calling us on 132 032.
- Our Privacy Statement also provides information about how you can access and correct your personal information and make a complaint. You do not have to provide us with any personal information but, if you don’t, we won’t be able to pay you via direct entry.
