As Australia's first company, Westpac is proud to support the enterprises and community organisations that are part of the social fabric of Australia. That's why Westpac, through Westpac Foundation, is backing social enterprise - businesses that operate for social benefit.

Westpac Foundation supports social enterprises by helping them explore and refine their great ideas, while also contributing seed funding to launch their enterprise. Plus we reinvest in existing enterprises that are delivering outcomes and need help to grow. Since 1999, we have backed hundreds of Not for Profits, including social enterprises, providing over $28 million in funding.

In addition to funding social enterprises, Westpac Foundation focuses on ensuring the long-term sustainability of our grant recipients through offering non-financial support in the form of mentoring and skilled volunteering. Westpac staff have provided hundreds of hours of mentoring during the critical feasibility and planning stages of social enterprise development. This is through initiatives like The Crunch program, run by Social Traders, an organisation dedicated to supporting the development of sustainable social enterprises.

Helping you help others

Social enterprises and Not for Profit organisations have unique banking needs, which is why Westpac has developed a suite of products tailored specifically for these customers. They've been designed for cost-effectiveness and address day-to-day banking needs.

Westpac's community spirit

Community spirit and willingness to lend a hand is a part of our culture in Australia. At Westpac, we believe that with the right support we can do just about anything.
So, we've maintained a simple philosophy. If something is worth backing, we back it.
