Westpac to bring banking services to Coomera

Westpac is strengthening its investment on the Gold Coast with a new branch set to open in Coomera, building on the bank’s more than 10 existing branches and a dedicated Technology Hub in the region.
A key growth corridor between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, Coomera will be provided with face-to-face and digital banking services as well as support for local businesses at the new branch.
Westpac General Manager of Retail Banking, Damien MacRae, says Coomera is a rapidly growing northern Gold Coast region.
“Westpac has been backing the Gold Coast for more than 100 years. Today we’re cementing our commitment to the region with a $1.4 million investment in a new Coomera branch.
“The new branch will support the employment of five local bankers and provide dedicated personal and business banking support to the community. Our branch team will also have dedicated funding to support local community and sponsorship initiatives.
“In addition to face-to-face support, which we know is important for some customers, many are now choosing to bank with us digitally. The new branch will be equipped with new digital tools like tablet kiosks and video conferencing capabilities to connect with an expert lender.”
Located within the Coomera Westfield, the branch will offer full over-the-counter cash services and will be equipped with two ATMs, coin deposit and exchange machines.
Local businesses will also be able to connect with our expert commercial and business bankers. Westpac data has shown the Gold Coast ranks as one of the regions with the highest percentage growth for business lending.
"The Gold Coast is a thriving economic region attracting interstate migration and diverse business investment including tourism and construction. Its strong population has also seen a rapid expansion of the health sector,” MacRae added.
“Technology and innovation continue to attract new business and employment opportunities in the region, including through Westpac’s own Technology Engineering Hub which first opened in 2022 and now employs more than 200 software engineers, technologists and data specialists.”
The Westpac Coomera branch will officially open on Tuesday 24 June at Tenancy 1092, Westfield Coomera, 103 Foxwell Road, Coomera QLD 4209.
