Depositing funds

Depositing at a Westpac branch

Deposits can be made at a Westpac branch by:

  • Making a deposit over the counter (by completing a deposit slip and providing the branch teller with your cheques/ cash) or
  • Using the Business Express Deposit (BED) bag (tamper evident bag).


Include the following in the BED:

  1. Pre-encoded deposit slip
  2. Cheques
  3. Cash (notes) sorted by denomination and bundled in lots of ten
  4. Cash (coin) bagged per denomination.

How can I order Business Express Deposit bags?

BED and coin bags can be collected from your local Westpac Branch. Should you wish to order additional Business Express and/or coin bags, please complete the  BED and/or Coin order form (DOC 45KB) and send to:

Enquires can be made by calling 1800 733 394. No orders will be taken over the phone.

Delivery is generally 2 working days in the Sydney metro area and 3 working days for all other NSW areas.

Things you should know

Westpac is authorised in the United Kingdom by the Prudential Regulation Authority and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulation Authority. Westpac operates in the United States of America as a federally chartered branch, regulated by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
