Entry Restrictions
Entry is open to SA and ACT residents aged 18 years or over who are card holders of an Eligible Westpac Debit Card (defined below) or are primary card holders of an Eligible Westpac Credit Card (defined below) (each an “Entrant”).
Westpac Group employees are eligible to participate in this Promotion, with the exception of those employees associated with the running of this Promotion and Westpac Group Management of Executive Level (being General Division Manager or higher) and their immediate family. Employees of all Agencies associated with the running of this Promotion are ineligible to enter.
Entry Procedure
To be eligible to enter into the relevant draw(s), card holders must, during the Promotion Period, complete at least ten (10) separate Qualifying Transactions (defined below), using either their Eligible Westpac Debit Card or Eligible Westpac Credit Card.
Qualifying Transactions
- Each Qualifying Transaction must be $10 or more and completed in a single transaction (for the avoidance of doubt, Qualifying Transaction can be completed using a physical or digital Eligible Westpac Debit Card or Eligible Westpac Credit Card) (each a “Qualifying Transaction”)
- Each Qualifying Transaction (noting a card holder must complete at least ten (10) separate Qualifying Transactions to be eligible to enter the Promotion) qualifies for one (1) entry into the relevant draw(s)
- All Qualifying Transactions must be completed using the same Eligible Westpac Credit Card or Eligible Westpac Debit Card (this includes any additional cards linked to that specific Westpac account). All Qualifying Transactions must be settled by the end of the Promotion Period. Card holders can, however, receive entries by using any Eligible Westpac Credit Card or Eligible Westpac Debit Card. For example, a card holder may hold both an Eligible Westpac Credit Card and an Eligible Westpac Debit Card. If that card holder makes ten (10) Qualifying Transactions on their Eligible Westpac Debit Card and ten (10) Qualifying Transactions on their Eligible Westpac Credit Card, they will receive twenty (20) entries into the relevant draw(s)
- Qualifying transactions do not include interest, fees and charges, cash or ATM cash advances, cash equivalent transactions, gambling transactions, a purchase from or payment to a local, state or federal government or government related agency, BPAY or similar transactions (such as Post Billpay), refunds and balance transfers debited from the card account and transactions made using an intermediary (for example, Paypal)
- There is no maximum number of entries
- For the avoidance of doubt, if an entrant completes less than ten (10) Qualifying Transactions, they will not receive any entries into the relevant draw(s), if an entrant completes exactly ten (10) Qualifying Transactions, they will receive ten (10) entries into the relevant draw(s) and if an entrant completes fifty (50) Qualifying Transactions, they will receive fifty (50) entries into the relevant draw(s)
Eligible Cards
Eligible Westpac Credit Cards include:
Westpac Altitude Black Card, Westpac Altitude Platinum Card, Low Rate Card, Low Fee Card, Lite Card or Low Fee Platinum Card (each an “Eligible Westpac Credit Card”). For the avoidance of doubt:
- Additional credit card holders are excluded from this Promotion and will not be deemed as an Eligible Westpac Credit Card
- Transactions made using an additional cardholder’s card will be attributed to the account holder. Only the account holder, and not any additional cardholder, will be deemed the entrant
Eligible Westpac Debit Cards include:
Westpac Debit Mastercard (an "Eligible Westpac Debit Card"). For the avoidance of doubt:
- Westpac Debit Mastercards linked to joint accounts are excluded from this Promotion and will not be deemed as an Eligible Westpac Debit Card
- Transactions made using an additional cardholder’s card will be attributed to the account holder. Only the account holder, and not any additional cardholder, will be deemed the entrant
Eligible Westpac Credit Cards and Eligible Westpac Debit Cards must be open, active, and not blocked, suspended, or cancelled during the Promotion Period. Lost or stolen cards that are reissued during the Promotion Period will remain eligible, provided the underlying account remains open and active and the reissued card replaces the original card for the same account.
Number of Entries Permitted
Multiple Entries permitted. Each Qualifying Transaction must be completed separately and in accordance with the Entry Procedure.
Draw Details
There will be a total of two (2) Prize Draws. All Prize Draws will be held at Anisimoff Legal, Level 3, 162 Collins Street, Melbourne VIC 3000 at 10:15am AEDT on 12/11/25 as follows:
- One (1) SA Prize Draw from Eligible Entrants who are residents of South Australia only; and
- One (1) ACT Prize Draw from Eligible Entrants who are residents of the Australian Capital Territory only
The Promoter may draw additional reserve entries from each Prize Draw and record them in order in case an invalid entry or ineligible entrant is drawn.
Prize details
SA Prizes (only Eligible Entrants that are a resident of South Australia are in the Draw for a SA Prize).
The first five (5) valid entries drawn from SA will each win double pass Category A tickets to days 1 , 2 and 3 of the Ashes Cricket Test Match taking place at the Adelaide Oval, Adelaide between 17/12/25 – 19/12/25, valued at $1,080 each.
ACT Prizes (only Eligible Entrants that are a resident of the Australian Capital Territory are in the Draw for an ACT Prize The first valid entry drawn from ACT will win double pass Category A tickets to days 1, 2 and 3 of the Ashes Cricket Test Match taking place at the SCG, Sydney between 04/01/26 – 06/01/26, valued at $1,350.
Prize Conditions
- For the avoidance of doubt, accommodation and travel costs are not included as part of any Prize and any accommodation or travel costs associated with taking a Prize will be at the responsibility of the Winner
- Cricket Australia reserves the right in its absolute discretion to change or amend the Ashes Cricket Test Match fixture without notice. Neither the Promoter nor Cricket Australia accept responsibility for the cancellation or delay of any cricket match, or travel arrangement (such as a flight), connected with this Promotion for any reason beyond the control of the Promoter or Cricket Australia
- By entering this promotion Entrants agree to comply, and ensure that each subsequent ticket holder complies, with the ticket conditions which accompany any tickets won in conjunction with the Promotion. Entrants also agree to comply, and ensure that each subsequent ticket holder complies, with Cricket Australia’s Ticket and Entry Conditions (available at ww.cricket.com.au/tickets) supplemented by conditions of entry imposed by the venue operator. The Promoter will provide every person attending the match as part of the promotion with a copy of Cricket Australia’s Ticket and Entry Conditions with delivery of the Prize tickets
- Winners may have the opportunity to participate in media prepared by Cricket Australia for no remuneration, and will be asked to complete a talent release, should they accept.
- The Promoter and event organisers hereby expressly reserve the right to eject a Winner (and/or their companion) for any inappropriate behaviour, including but not limited to intoxication, whilst participating in any element of the Prize

Total Prize Pool
$5,400 for SA residents and $1,350 for ACT residents.
Notification of Winners
Winners will be notified via telephone and email no later than 24 hours after the draws, and their details (first initial, surname and postcode) will be published at www.westpac.com.au/cards_ashes_2025 no later than 24 hours after the draws.
Prize claim date
All Winners must claim the Prize by 9:59am AEDT on 01/12/25.
Unclaimed Prize Draw
A draw for any unclaimed prizes may take place on 01/12/25 at the same time and place as the original draw subject to any directions from a regulatory authority.
Notification and Publication of Unclaimed Prize Winner (If Any)
Winners, if any, will be notified by telephone and email no later than 24 hours after the unclaimed prize draw and their details (first initial, surname and postcode) will be published at www.westpac.com.au/cards_ashes_2025 no later than 24 hours after the unclaimed prize draw.

Conditions of Entry
1. These Conditions of Entry incorporate and must be read together with the accompanying Schedule for this Promotion, and information on how to enter and the prizes form part of these Conditions of Entry. The accompanying Schedule prevails in the event of any inconsistency with these Conditions of Entry, to the extent permitted by law. By participating in this Promotion, each participant fully and unconditionally agrees and acknowledges that these Conditions of Entry are binding
2. Any capitalised terms used in these Conditions of Entry have the meaning given in the Schedule, except where stated otherwise
Eligibility
3. Entry to the Promotion is open to residents of the Relevant State/s who meet the Entry Restrictions
4. Westpac Group employees are eligible to participate in this Promotion, with the exception of those employees associated with the running of this Promotion and Westpac Group Management of Executive Level (being General Division Manager or higher) and their immediate family. Employees of all Agencies associated with the running of this Promotion are ineligible to enter
5. The Promotion will be conducted during the Promotion Period
6. To enter the Promotion, entrants must complete the steps outlined in the Entry Procedure within the Promotion Period
7. Entries may only be submitted in accordance with the Entry Procedure and will not be accepted by the Promoter in any other form
8. Entrants may enter the Promotion up to the Maximum Number of Entries
9. Entries must be received by the Promoter during the Promotion Period
10. Incomplete entries will be deemed invalid
11. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of Entries and Entrants (including an Entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the Entry Procedure or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the promotion. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved
12. In the event that an account with the Promoter is held in joint names, the Eligible Entrant will be the first person named on that account. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an Eligible Entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the Eligible Entrant
Determining and notifying Winners
13. The Prize draws will be conducted in accordance with the Draw Details. The Prize(s) will be awarded to the Eligible Entry or Entries (as applicable) randomly drawn in accordance with the Draw Details (“the Winner(s)”)
14. Winners will be notified as specified in the Schedule and their name and State/Territory of residence will be published in accordance with the Schedule
15. Westpac Group will contact the Winners over a phone call and also via email to notify them about their prize and will seek verbal consent from the Winners to be allowed to be contacted by Westpac's agencies or partners for matters of prize fulfilment
Prizes
16. The Prize(s) are specified in the Prize Details. The Prize(s) are subject to any restrictions specified in the Schedule. The total Prize Pool is specified in the Schedule
17. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into
18. Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash, unless otherwise specified
19. If any Prize (or part of any Prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the Prize (or that element of the Prize) with a Prize to the equal value or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority
20. The Ashes Cricket Test Match are only valid for the date or period specified on the tickets or by the provider, and are subject to any terms and conditions imposed by the provider of those tickets, including any applicable age restrictions. Once awarded, the Promoter or Cricket Australia is not liable for any ticket that has been lost, stolen, forged, damaged or tampered with in any way
21. Subject to the unclaimed prize draw clause, if a Winner or, for whatever reason, does not take the Prize within the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the Prize will be forfeited by the Winner. Cash will not be awarded in lieu of the forfeited Prize
Claiming Prizes
22. Prizes must be claimed by the Prize Claim Date in accordance with any claim instructions set out in the Schedule
23. If a Prize is not claimed by the Prize Claim Date, the Winner’s entry will be deemed invalid and the Promoter reserves the right to distribute the unclaimed Prize in accordance with the Unclaimed Prize Draw specified in the Schedule, subject to any directions given by any relevant authority. Winners of Unclaimed Prizes will be notified and have their names and State/Territory of residence published in accordance with the Unclaimed Prize Draw
General
24. The Promoter and its related bodies corporate (as that term is defined in the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth)) will be known as the “Westpac Group”
25. The Promoter collects personal information from all participants in order to conduct the Promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such personal information to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. If the information requested is not provided, the participant may not participate in the Promotion or claim a Prize and their entry may be discarded. It is a condition of entry in the Promotion that all Winners consent to the publication of their name and city of origin in any advertisements or articles relating to the Promotion or the Prize. By entering this promotion, participants consent to the Promoter or any other member of the Westpac Group using their name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a Winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this promotion (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter. The Promoter’s treatment and storage of personal information will be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy (which can be viewed at http://www.westpac.com.au/privacy/privacy-statement/) and all applicable laws in Australia. The Privacy Policy also contains information about how entrants may opt out, access, update or correct their personal information, how entrants may complain about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles or any other applicable law and how those complaints will be dealt with. All entries become the property of the Promoter. The Promoter will not disclose personal information to any entity outside of Australia. Your information will not be used to contact you for marketing purposes
26. The Winner may be liable to declare the Prize for taxation purposes and will be liable for any tax payable in respect of a Prize. Eligible Entrants should seek independent financial advice in relation to any tax payable on the Prize and the potential impact on their personal financial situation prior to entering the Promotion
27. Except for guarantees, warranties and conditions implied by law which cannot be excluded, neither the Promoter, any other member of the Westpac Group or Cricket Australia make any guarantees, representations or warranties, express or implied, regarding the quality or suitability of any Prizes awarded under these Conditions of Entry
28. Nothing in these Conditions of Entry is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty or other term or condition, implied or imposed by any legislation which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. This may include the Corporations Act 2001, the Competition and Consumer Act 2010, Australian Consumer Law, ASIC Act or any other equivalent State or Territory consumer protection laws, as amended. If any guarantee, warranty, term or conditions implied or imposed under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable legislation in relation to any Prize awarded under these Conditions of Entry cannot be excluded (a “Non-Excludable Provision”) and the Promoter is able to limit the remedy for a breach of the Non-Excludable Provision, then the liability of the Promoter and all members of the Westpac Group for breach of the Non-Excludable Provision is limited to one or more of the following at the Promoter's option:
- the replacement of a prize or the supply of an equivalent prize;
- the repair of a prize;
- the re-supply of a prize;
- the payment of the cost of replacing a prize or of acquiring an equivalent prize;
- the payment of the cost of having a prize repaired; or
- the payment of the costs of re-supplying a prize
29. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Promoter and all other members of the Westpac Group expressly disclaim liability for any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury which is suffered or sustained in connection with any Eligible Entrant’s participation in this Promotion or the acceptance of any Prize. The Winner indemnifies the Promoter,all members of the Westpac Group and Cricket Australia against any liability, injury, loss or damage which may be suffered, incurred or sustained by the Promoter, member of the Westpac Group or Cricket Australia arising out of, relating to, or in any way connected with, any act or omission (including negligence) by the Winner, or its use of the Prize, or its breach of these Conditions of Entry
30. If a scrutineer is required by any relevant authority, the scrutineer will be appointed to confirm that the processes followed by the Promoter provide reasonable assurance that all persons who are entitled to participate in the Promotion are entered and that the Promotion is fair. In the event of a dispute, the scrutineer will act as an adjudicator and their decision will be final and no further correspondence will be entered into after the decision has been made
31. Neither the Promoter nor any other member of the Westpac Group will be responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or entry to be received by the Promoter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet
32. If this Promotion is not capable of running as planned for any reason (including but not limited to failure or malfunction of any computer equipment by reason of infection by computer virus, power failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, or technical failures or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion), the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who undermines the integrity or fair running of the Promotion for other Eligible Entrants, including by tampering with the Entry Procedure, and, after consulting with the relevant legislative authorities, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion.
