How will Westpac use my carbon footprint data?

As part of Westpac’s journey to becoming a net-zero, climate resilient bank, we want to provide information and insights to support those customers who want to increase their environmental awareness and reduce their estimated carbon footprint.

Individual customer carbon footprint data is not shared with any party outside of the Westpac Group. We’ll not share or disclose your personal information with any third party unless you authorise it, or it’s required by law. We may use, and may permit our service providers to use, de-identified (including aggregated) data from our customers for purposes including developing a better understanding of the way customers use relevant feature(s) in the Westpac App.

Our Privacy Statement (PDF 655KB) provides important information about how we collect, handle and store your personal information, including the purposes for which we collect and use your data. It also explains how you can access and correct the personal information we hold about you and how you can make a complaint about our handling of your personal information.

To help you understand how the Carbon Footprint Tracker feature works, our partner Cogo has provided answers to your most frequently asked questions.
