How do I activate my card?

Activating your card is easy. Just have your Westpac credit card or Debit MasterCard® details on hand and it’ll be ready to go in minutes.

Options to activate your card

  • Online Banking: register and sign in
  • Activation line: call 1300 308 930 (24/7)
  • Telephone Banking:  call 132 032, login and select option 5 ‘Other Services'.

What you need to know to activate

Have your card with you when you activate.

  • The primary cardholder (the person who opens the card account with us) must activate their card first
  • The additional cardholder cannot activate their card before the primary cardholder has activated their own
  • Each cardholder must activate their own card.

Branch opening hours

All branches are open:

  • 9.30am - 4pm, Mon-Thurs
  • 9.30-5pm, Fridays

Some branches now open weekends.
