How do I activate my card?

Activating your card is easy. Just have your Westpac credit card or Debit MasterCard® details on hand and you'll be goood to go in minutes.

Activate your card online

If you’re already registered for online banking, activate your card online. It only takes a few minutes.
 
Other options to activate your card

  • Phone - you can activate your card over the phone by calling us anytime on 1300 308 930
  • Telephone Banking - If you’re registered for Telephone Banking you can activate your card by calling 132 032. Follow the prompts to log in and select ‘other services’ followed by ‘card activation’.

What about additional cardholders?
The primary cardholder (that’s the person who opens the card account with us) must activate their card first – additional cardholders won’t be able to activate their card before the primary cardholder has activated their own.

Each cardholder will need to activate their own card before they’re able to use it.
