How do you set up and view your merchant statements online?

Viewing and printing Merchant eStatements

If you access your existing business products from your personal banking profile, your Merchant eStatements are available in Online Banking.
 

  1. Sign into Online Banking
  2. Go to Overview, select Statements
  3. In Statements, select ‘view’ under Merchant Statements
  4. Select the merchant service and year
  5. Download or print your statement. 

Setting Statement Preferences

You can switch your statement delivery at any time on desktop via Online Banking.
 

  1. Sign into Online Banking
  2. Go to Service, select Preferences
  3. Expand the Statements preferences menu
  4. Select the Merchant Number to view
  5. Select your preferred statement delivery method and Save

 

If the email address listed is not correct, you can update it in Personal details within Preferences.

 

Remember: Even if you’ve opted for a ‘Paper statement’, you’ll still be able to view electronic statements online. You’ll also receive paper statements by mail as requested.

Setting up Merchant eStatements on a Business Network

To enable Merchant Services in Online Banking on a desktop, a Network Administrator needs to set up the business network arrangement using 3 easy steps. 

Set up account access

  1. Go to Administration and select Account access levels
  2. Select the Merchant Member Number (MMN)1 you wish to access
  3. Using the dropdown box, change Access level to Value access and Save

Enable the Merchant Services feature

  1. Go to Administration and select Features and Approvals
  2. Under Services select View Merchant eStatements and Save

Give access to Users and Administrators

  1. Go to Administration and select User Administration
  2. Select the User’s or Administrator's name to access the Edit User screen
  3. Scroll to Merchant Member Number (MMN)1 and select the Merchant ID the Administrator needs to view and select Save

Viewing and printing Merchant eStatements

After establishing the network arrangement, then activating Merchant eStatements within 'Features and Approvals' and finally assigning view access to themselves as Users, Administrators can now view Merchant eStatements via desktop.
 

  1. Sign into Online Banking
  2. Go to Overview, select Statements
  3. In Statements, select ‘view’ under Merchant Statements
  4. Select the merchant service and year
  5. Download or print your statement

Setting Statement Preferences

As an Administrator, you can manage your network’s Merchant Statement preferences by following these steps:

 

  1. Go to Administration and select Statement Settings
  2. Locate the Merchant Number (Merchant ID’s) from the list of available Accounts and Services
  3. Toggle Statement type between ‘Paper statement’ and ‘eStatement

 

If the listed business email address under Primary business email is incorrect, please update it by selecting Edit.

 

Remember: Even if you’ve opted for a ‘Paper statement’, you’ll still be able to view electronic statements online. You’ll also receive paper statements by mail as requested.


Assigning Merchant Services to New Users

  1. Go to Administration and select User Administration
  2. Select New User
  3. Within Step 2 - Account access in the user creation process, select the Merchant Member Number (MMN) the user needs to view
  4. Within Step 4 - Services access in the user creation process, select the Merchant ID's (MID's) the user needs to view

Important information

If the business network only requires one Administrator to perform administration tasks

  • Changes will be updated when the nominated Administrator makes a statement preference selection.

 

If the business network requires more than one Administrator to authorise administration tasks

  • Any change in statement preferences will require approval from all the required number of additional Administrators.
  • The account will show a blue notification box which informs the Administrator that changes are pending approval.

Setting up Merchant Statements in Corporate Online

Registered users of Corporate Online can view, print or save Merchant Statements for each EFTPOS service registered to their organisation.

To view a Merchant Statement in Corporate Online, from the left-hand menu, select Receipts. Under View, click Merchant Statements. Then click the Service ID number to view Merchant Statements for your selected service. Corporate Online will display Merchant Statements for the current financial year. To open a Merchant Statement, click the Statement details link for the required month.

The Merchant Statement will display in a new window where you can view, print or save the statement.

Online Statement delivery is the default option for Merchant Statements. If you wish to continue receiving paper Merchant Statements in the mail, ask your Corporate Online Administrator to change the statement delivery method. 

From the left-hand menu, select Administration, then enter your token validation details. Under Manage click Receipt services.

Select the receipt service to be amended, then click Amend receipt service.

Select the Details task and click Amend.

On the Receipt service details screen, select “Mail and Online” option. Click Continue.

A summary is displayed.

The task is now ready for authorisation.

To view merchant statements in Corporate Online, an Administrator needs to provide the User with access to an Office, Receipts feature and the Merchant ID, Chain ID or HQ ID.

  1. Sign into Corporate Online
  2. Go to Receipts and select Merchant statements
  3. Select the merchant service and year
  4. Download or print your statement

Things you should know

^For eligible merchant facilities when accessing eStatements through Westpac Online Banking or Corporate Online.


1. Your Merchant Member Number (MMN) is a unique account number which represents all merchant service facilities that are used by your business or organisation. Providing the MMN can assist us to easily identify and help you with your merchant service facility. This MMN is visible to the Administrator via Westpac Online Banking. Linked to your MMN you will have associated Merchant numbers (Merchant ID’s) which are identifiers assigned to each individual Merchant product for your business. These are located on your monthly merchant statement.
