Credit Card Balance Transfer Calculator

Use our balance transfer calculator to estimate how much you could save by transferring the balance of an existing card to a Westpac credit card.

Things you should know

Credit criteria, fees and charges apply. Switches, upgrades, or customers accessing employee benefits are ineligible. This promotion may be varied or withdrawn at any time and is not available in conjunction with any other promotion.

Be credit savvy: Before applying, consider a realistic credit limit and check all conditions, interest rates, fees and charges on your selected card.

Rewards Points: Depending on your choice of rewards program, you can earn Altitude Points or Qantas Points on your eligible purchases. The earning and redemption of Altitude Points and Qantas Points is subject to the Altitude Rewards and Altitude Qantas Terms and Conditions. You do not receive points if your card account is in arrears for 2 consecutive statement cycles and in other circumstances. You do not earn Altitude Points or Qantas Points on payments to the Australian Taxation Office.

*55 Day no annual card fee promotion: $0 annual card fee in the first year and $0 annual card fee in subsequent years promotion is available when you apply for a new 55 Day or 55 Day Platinum credit card between 29th June 2017 and 26th October 2017 and spend $5,000 or more on a 55 Day credit card or $10,000 or more on a 55 Day Platinum credit card on purchases in each 12 months from the anniversary date of the first transaction on your account.

Balance transfer promotion: The promotional balance transfer rate is available when you apply for a new Low Rate, 55 Day or 55 Day Platinum credit card between 29th June 2017 and 26th October 2017 and request at card application to transfer balance(s) from up to 3 non-Westpac Australian issued credit, charge or store cards. The rate will apply to balance(s) transferred (min $200 up to 95% of your approved available credit limit) for the promotional period, unless the amount is paid off earlier. Card activation will trigger the processing of the balance transfer. The applicable variable purchase rate will apply to balance(s) transferred but left unpaid at the end of the promotional period. Westpac will not be responsible for any delays that may occur in processing payment to your other card account(s) and will not close the account(s). Interest free days do not apply to credit cards with balance transfers. Cannot be used in conjunction with the Cashback promotion.

#A balance transfer fee of 2% of the transferred balance(s) will be charged to the account on the same day the balance(s) are debited to the account.

Cashback promotion: The cashback offer is available when you apply for a new Low Rate, 55 Day or 55 Day Platinum credit card between 29th June 2017 and 26th October 2017 and spend $400 on eligible purchases within 90 days from card approval. Eligible purchases do not include fees, cash, cash equivalent transactions, BPAY, refunds and balance transfers debited from the card account. Only one cashback will be paid per customer. $200 cashback will be paid as a statement credit to your Low Rate, 55 Day or 55 Day Platinum credit card account within 60 days of meeting minimum spend criteria. Existing Westpac customers who currently hold a Low Rate, 55 Day or 55 Day Platinum credit card, or who have held one in the last 12 months and packaged cards are not eligible for this offer. Cannot be used in conjunction with the Balance Transfer promotion.
