Volunteering program
Community spirit and willingess to lend a hand is a part of our culture. Many of our employees volunteer in their local communities, either individually or as part of their team. Employee efforts are supported with paid leave for volunteering and flexible working arrangements.
Two thirds of employees volunteer
Each year, we survey our people to gain a better understanding of their community activities. Last year's research found that 63% of employees participated in volunteering or fundraising activities in the last 12 months, with around one third of this taking place in work time.
Skilled volunteering and Organisational Mentoring
More than simply painting a fence, employees are encouraged to use their skills and expertise to support community organisations. Our Organisational Mentoring program provides an opportunity to work with our Social Sector partners to build and drive their continuous improvement, innovation, collaboration and sustainable business practices.
CEO Awards for community volunteering
Each year, our CEO Awards recognise teams and individuals who volunteer with community and environmental groups with a $10,000 donation to their favoured community organisation.
