We specialise in helping Australian and New Zealand customers with links to Asia, and Asian clients with links to Australia and New Zealand to deliver financial solutions to corporate and institutional clients. Our Asian operations have been running since 1972, with branches in Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing and representative offices in Jakarta and Mumbai.

Foreign exchange
Westpac is a market leader in Australian and New Zealand Dollar denominated products, and we cover all markets in Asia (excluding Japan). We offer FX spot, FX forward and FX derivatives products to corporate and institutional customers.
Our key customers include Asian central banks, quasi-government organisations, private banks, asset and hedge fund managers, financial institutions and corporate organisations.

Asset finance
Our asset finance team in Asia supports the initiatives of our Corporate and Institutional Banking unit in servicing our global clients, leveraging the in-house expertise of our asset finance activities in Australia and New Zealand.
Our clients are in the airline and aerospace industries, shipping and marine, mining and earthmoving equipment, logistics and material handling, construction equipment, information technology and communications, industrial equipment. We have a particular focus on financing transportation assets.

Syndications and infrastructure finance
Syndications and infrastructure finance - based in Singapore - is part of the broader debt markets business and is responsible for all the loan products for Westpac Institutional Bank including corporate loans, leveraged finance and project and infrastructure finance.
Working closely with Corporate and Institutional Banking we provide financing solutions to key investors, manage distribution of the loan product originating from Australia and secondary market loan sales across the region. The office is also responsible for underwriting infrastructure originated out of Europe, the UK and US.

Our Asian treasury team provides deposit services to central banks, financial institutions, multi-national corporations and private companies based in Asia.
As a deposit customer, you will receive dedicated and attentive services to meet your deposit placement needs. For flexibility and convenience you can open your deposit accounts in multi-currencies.
