What happens after I apply?

We'll send you a confirmation email when we receive your application. If your skills match the requirements of the job, you'll be contacted regarding the next steps. We'll also contact you by phone or email to let you know if your application has been unsuccessful.

Our screening  process

  1. If your skills match the job requirements a consultant will call you for a phone interview. Some customer service or operations positions may require you to complete an online assessment.
  2. If you're successful your resume will be short listed and passed on to the people leader recruiting for the role.
  3. If you get through this stage you'll be invited for an interview in person.

What style of interview should I expect?

We use the Targeted Selection Interview technique, also known as behaviour-based interviews. You'll be asked questions designed to show previous patterns of accomplishments relevant to the role.

Psychometric assessments

On occasion we use psychometric assessments for leadership and specialised roles. Your Careers@Westpac consultant will inform you if this applies.
