How to apply
Branch and call centre assessment
After you apply for a Customer Service Representative (CSR) or Banking Services Representative (BSR) role you'll need to complete an online assessment. The process differs slightly between CSR and BSR roles.
CSR assessment process
- Apply online for the role you're interested in. If you're eligible to work in Australia you'll be emailed a link to an online assessment.
- A Recruitment Consultant will contact you to arrange a phone interview if you were successful after the initial assessment. If not you'll receive an email to let you know.
- The phone interview will involve a combination of behavioural and motivational questions. It is also a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about working at Westpac. The interview should take about 15 minutes.
- If you are successful after this stage, you'll be invited to complete a second online assessment.
- Successful candidates are then invited to the branch for a further interview and role play.
- Westpac will conduct 2 reference checks. You'll also be required to complete a criminal background check.
- After conducting the checks we'll formally offer you the role in writing.
BSR assessment process

- The phone interview will involve a combination of behavioural and motivational questions. It is also a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about working at Westpac. The interview should take about 15 minutes.
- The next stage for successful candidates is to complete a selection assessment at the Contact Centre.
- Westpac will conduct 2 reference checks. You'll also be required to complete a criminal background check.
- After conducting the checks we'll formally offer you the role in writing.
