Transport for NSW Contactless Payments Trial

Westpac is participating in a Transport for NSW (TfNSW) contactless payments trial whereby customers can pay for a single fare trip on the F1 Manly Ferry Service (Manly Wharf to Circular Quay and return) by tapping on at the gate with their debit or credit card instead of their Opal card.

Customers can use their existing contactless-enabled card or mobile device at ticket gates to tap on at the start of their journey (there is no need to tap off on the Manly Ferry line).

Initially, the trial is with Mastercard debit and credit cards, however, TfNSW are working towards including other cards to offer this convenient option to more customers.

Tapping on with your card will incur the full adult single fare (concession and children’s fares are not available).

You can only purchase one fare per card.  Families or groups wishing to purchase multiple fares need to purchase Opal Single Trip Tickets or obtain Opal cards.

For further information, please refer to the Opal website.
