HOW TO MANAGE YOUR BUSINESS STATEMENTS ONLINE

It’s simple to change your business statement preferences in Online Banking or the Westpac App.

An Administrator can change your statement preference to eStatements or paper statements using the Westpac App or Online Banking.

 

Which instructions apply to me?

How your business is set up determines where you’ll find your statement settings.

If you see an “Administration” tab when you sign in to Online Banking, you’re set up as a Business Network customer.

Statement preferences are managed under Administration. Changes may require approval from another Administrator.

Follow the Business Network instructions below.

If there is no "Administration" tab, you’re set up as a Sole Trader.

Statement preferences are managed under Service > Preferences and changes usually take effect immediately.

 

How do I change my business statement preferences?

In the Westpac App

Before you start

Make sure you're using the latest version of the Westpac app.

  1. Select Profile, Settings
  2. Under Communication, select Statements
  3. Select an account
  4. Choose eStatement or Paper statement.

In Online Banking

Sole Trader

  1. Go to Service > Preferences > Statements
  2. Select an account to update 
  3. Select eStatement or Paper statement then Save

Business Network 

  1. Go to Administration > Statement settings 
  2. Select eStatement or Paper statement for each account

Do my changes need approval?

If your business network only requires one Administrator, your changes will take effect straight away.

If your business network requires more than one Administrator, the changes will need approval before they become active.

In the Westpac App

  1. Select Business, then Approvals
  2. Select the Other tasks tab
  3. Approve any pending statement preference changes.

In Online Banking

  1. Select the Approvals button near Sign Out
  2. Select the Other tasks tab
  3. You’ll see the statement settings waiting for approval.

Once approved, your updated statement preferences will apply.

How do I view statements online?

In the Westpac App

You can view your business statements anytime using the Westpac App or Westpac Online Banking.

Before you start

Make sure you're using the latest version of the Westpac app.

  1. Select an account
  2. Scroll down and select Documents
  3. Select Statements
  4. Choose the statement you want to view.

In Online Banking

  1. Select Overview, then Statements
  2. Select an account from the drop‑down list
  3. Choose the statement you want to review.

You can also:

Enter a statement number or

Select a date range of up to 7 years to find older statements.

How do I approve any changes to my business statement preferences?

In the Westpac App

Before you start

Make sure you're using the latest version of the Westpac app.

  1. Select Business, then Approvals
  2. Select Other tasks, then Approve or Reject for any pending tasks.

In Online Banking

  1. Select Approval in the top right-hand corner 
  2. Select the Administration tab  
  3. Choose Approve or Reject

 

You will know if your Business statement preference change has been successful when you see a confirmation message listed at the top of your screen.


FAQs on business statements

If your account is not eligible for eStatements, you’ll only have the paper statement option.

You’ll also need to have a valid email address linked to the account to receive eStatements.

If you need transactions for a specific date range, you can download a transactions report. 

This report shows a list of transactions for an account you choose, between the dates you select.

Yes. It’s important to keep your business email address up to date so we can notify you when your eStatements are ready.

You can still review your eStatements in Westpac Online Banking, even if you don’t receive an email notification.

If you’re not receiving email notifications:

  1. Check your junk or spam folder
  2. Make sure your registered business email address is correct.

Keeping your email address up to date helps ensure you don’t miss an important notification.
