Privacy Notice for terminal upgrade from EFTPOS 1i to EFTPOS Connect

Your privacy is important to us, and so is being transparent about how we collect, use, and share any information relating to you where you are either identified or identifiable (personal data). As part of our agreement to provide to you the EFTPOS Connect terminal (Facility), the Westpac Banking Corporation and its related bodies corporate (Westpac Group) will collect the information you have provided, including any personal data. The personal data may include names, dates of birth, gender, address information, Australian Business Numbers and Australian Company Numbers. This Privacy Notice applies to any personal data collected about all individuals associated with your business.
 

We need to collect this personal data to help us provide the Facility to you and to provide ongoing support and service in relation to the Facility and applicable products. 
 

We may share the personal data with other members of the Westpac Group and to entities we use to assist with providing the Facility to you and to assist in giving you the support and service you need in relation to that product and related products or services, including (but not limited to) Ingenico (who are the manufacturers of the terminal and will assist with the installation of the terminal) and Linkly (who will assist in connecting the terminal to your point of sale system). These service providers may separately collect personal data from you and share it with us for the purposes of providing you the Facility.
 

All personal data will be kept securely within Westpac systems based in Australia. User access to these systems is restricted and limited to approved staff in Australia or overseas, and we conduct regular user access reviews. Our system infrastructure is kept within secure buildings and protected by a range of security measures, including restricted access, security guards, and CCTV cameras.
 

We will keep the personal data for the duration of Westpac’s relationship with you or your entity, and as required by all relevant legislation . We are required by law to keep the information we use to assess you or your entity for this period. After this period has ended, we will securely destroy or de-identify the personal data.
 

You have the right to access and correct the personal data that we hold about you or your entity.
