Westpac appoints Lester Wynne-Jones as State General Manager, South Australia

Westpac Banking Corporation today announced the appointment of Lester Wynne-Jones as its State General Manager in South Australia.
Based in Adelaide, Lester will be responsible for Westpac's retail banking business and branch presence in South Australia, Northern Territory and Tasmania comprising of 62 branches, of which five are Bank Now, and over 500 staff.
With a banking career spanning 30 years with HSBC in United Kingdom, Lester brings extensive experience to the role. He was responsible for HSBC's Regional Retail Banking across flagship geographies including London, South and South East managing the delivery and ongoing development of a full range of services to HSBC's retail customers. He has also held various senior management roles in offices in Canada, United Arab Emirates, and Kazakhstan.
Announcing his appointment, Westpac's General Manager, Retail Banking, Gai McGrath described Lester as a talented and experienced candidate who would play a critical part in building on the success of the bank's local strategy in South Australia.
