Westpac Institutional Bank Voted Best Carbon Trader

14 December 2012

Westpac Institutional Bank today announced that it has been voted by customers as Best Trading Company – Australasian Markets for carbon in a global poll.

Environmental Finance and Carbon Finance – two leading global publications covering environmental markets – announced the award today along with other winners in its global, annual market rankings.

The rankings are the largest and most closely watched poll of sentiment across carbon, renewable energy certificates, weather risk and US emissions markets. They are based on more than 1,000 votes from readers of the two publications and other participants in the markets that Environmental Finance and Carbon Finance cover.

“Westpac is partnering with customers to provide practical risk management and financial solutions in response to emerging energy and resource constraints. We’re honoured that readers of these two leading global publications have recognised our expertise in this area,” said Westpac Executive Director for Emissions and Environment, Emma Herd.
