- An everyday account with a Debit Mastercard®¹ to make deposits and withdrawals, payments online or on the Westpac App
- $0 Account-Keeping Fee for the first 12 months (usually $5 per month). After this, the fee will continue to be waived if you:
- Are under 30 or a full-time tertiary student
- Deposit at least $2,000 each month
- Link your Choice account to your Rocket Repay Home Loan or Rocket Investment Loan as an offset account (for as long as the account is linked)

Things you should know

Debit Mastercard®: Westpac Choice Youth account, the eligible card age is 8. For any other transaction account, the eligible card age is 14. You must have an Australian residential address.

* The $50 promotion runs from 1st June 2025 to 31st December 2025.
To be eligible you must:
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Be new to Australia, having arrived in the last 12 months
- Hold a valid foreign issued identification document as listed in our identification checklist
- Have never held a transaction account with Westpac before (applies to both account holders for joint accounts)
- Open a new Westpac Choice account and deposit at least $100 into the new account within 10 days of account opening
- Keep the account open for up to a further 50 days.
If you meet the above:
- You‘re entitled to one $50 payment, regardless of the number of accounts you hold
- The $50 payment will be made to your Westpac Choice account within 50 days of you meeting these Terms and Conditions in full. If you open more than one Westpac Choice account, the $50 will go to the first opened and active one.
