Steps to get started
You must have an existing Westpac credit card.
Step 1:
Prepare: Keep the information about your non-Westpac issued credit cards handy (e.g. card number and issuer details).
Step 2:
Consider: Think about how much you wish to transfer (up to two non-Westpac issued credit card balances).
Step 3:
Transfer: Submit the balance transfer form online. It may take up to three to five days to complete your balance transfer request.
Get the most from your balance transfer
- Cancel other cards: Stay in control of your spending by cancelling your other non-Westpac-issued credit or store cards.
- Set a payment reminder: Pay off your transferred balance before the offer rate ends by setting a payment reminder in your calendar.

A debit card is tied to a transaction account with money in it (it's not debt). You can't transfer debt to your checking account.
