The BT Personal Portfolio Service is closed to new investors.

It is a service for people with more than $50,000 to invest and has 3 components:

  • Investment service
  • Superannuation service
  • Pension service.

Investment options

Each component has a range of investment options:

  • Westpac Classic Strategies - lets you invest across a range of cash, bond, property and share investments
  • Westpac Sector Funds - lets you invest in the major investment types in any combination you wish
  • External investment options offered by other leading fund managers such as:
    • Pendal Group Limited
    • BT Funds Management
    • Colonial First State
    • Aberdeen Asset Management
    • Macquarie Bank
    • Black Rock
    • MLC Investments Limited.

1 September 2020: BT Personal Portfolio Service: Investment – Notice of Termination

Investment Options: Westpac Moderate Growth Fund and Westpac Diversified Growth Fund

Westpac Financial Services Limited (ABN 20 000 241 127), as the responsible entity of the BT Personal Portfolio Service: Investment (PPS Investment) (ARSN 088 826 699), has decided to terminate the product effective on Monday, 30 November 2020. 

Westpac Financial Services Limited (ABN 20 000 241 127), as the responsible entity of Westpac Moderate Growth Fund and Westpac Diversified Growth Fund has decided to terminate these underlying funds on Friday, 27 November 2020.

As all PPS Investment accounts will terminate, a Personal Portfolio Service: Investment Notice of Termination letter and Notice of Termination Account Termination Election Form dated 1 September 2020, has been issued to clients that hold a PPS Investment account.

30 June 2020: BT Personal Portfolio Service: Investment – Change to the Constitution

As permitted under both clause 33 of the constitution of BT Personal Portfolio Service: Investment, and more generally as provided for under the Corporations Act 2001, Westpac Financial Services Limited (ABN 20 000 241 127), as the responsible entity of the BT Personal Portfolio Service: Investment (PPS Investment) (ARSN 088 826 699), have updated the constitution of PPS Investment dated 28 June 2005, as amended (Constitution), by way of a supplemental deed dated 30 June 2020 (Supplemental Deed). The Supplemental Deed amends clause 38.6 of the Constitution, to permit the acceptance of further subscriptions to or repayments from PPS Investment, until 35 days prior to its termination. Such a change does not adversely affect the rights of the members of PPS Investment. If you want a copy of the Supplemental Deed, please call or email our team using the contact details below.

 

Things you should know
  1. A new policy is required, which will be consolidated with an existing Pension Service policy for reporting purposes.
  2. You can change your investment strategy free of charge at any time although you will pay the spread between the issue and redemption price of units you have switched in underlying funds. Such changes may also have capital gains tax implications.
  3. This fee is made up of the administrator's fees under the constitution plus GST net of Reduced Input Tax Credits available to the Service.
