Holiday Travel Insurance

  • 90 days for any one journey.

Both holiday and frequent traveller insurance covers you, or your family, for events such as: 

  • 24 hour medical and travel assistance
  • Unlimited cover for overseas medical expenses
  • Cover for baggage, credit card and travel documents
  • Cancelled travel and accommodation expenses.
Things you should know
  • 1. Dental expenses are limited to $1,000 under a Single Policy and $2,000 under a Family policy
  • Travel Insurance is issued by AAI Limited ABN 48 005 297 807 trading as Vero Insurance and arranged by Westpac Banking Corporation ABN 33 007 457 141 (the Bank). The policy is subject to conditions, limits and exclusions on cover, which are explained in the policy wording. No Westpac Group company (other than the Bank as policy arranger) has any liability in connection with the policy or this information.

How to claim

If you are in Australia:

  • Call us on 1800 805 458. 

If you are overseas:

Stolen or damaged property

  • If your property is stolen or maliciously damaged, you must report this to the local police within 24 hours and obtain a written copy of the report  
  • If you are in transit, report the loss, or damage, to your transport provider within 72 hours. Obtain a written copy of the report
  • If your property is lost or damaged in other circumstances, you must report this to us within 72 hours of either: the loss or damage becoming known to you, or your return to your home, or the date of expiry shown on your schedule, whichever happens first
  • If you recover your lost, damaged or stolen goods, keep them so that we can inspect them if needed.   

Provide us with the following information

You may need to show us documentation to support your claim, such as medical certificates, doctor and police reports, receipts, invoices, airline, train or bus tickets and luggage tags.
