55 Day Gold to Low Fee Platinum

Important Updates to your Combined Conditions of Use and Credit Guide


From 1 March 2019, the 55 Day Card Account will be renamed the “Low Fee Card Account” and the 55 Day Gold Card Account will be renamed the “Low Fee Platinum Card Account”.  These changes will apply to Mastercard® cards and not to Visa cards.  As a result, on and from 1 March 2019, the following changes to the Combined Conditions of Use and Credit Guide will be effective.  All other terms of your Credit Card Contract will remain unchanged.  Please read these changes together with the Combined Conditions of Use and Credit Guide:

 

  1. In clause 2.0 of the Conditions of Use, under the subheading “Non Rewards Card Accounts” under the heading “Card Account”, the following two bullet points are inserted before the first bullet point:
    • Low Fee Card Account.
    • Low Fee Platinum Card Account.
  2. In clause 3.1 of the Conditions of Use, under the subheading “Non Rewards Cards”, the following two bullet points are inserted before the first bullet point:
    • Low Fee Card.
    • Low Fee Platinum Card.
  3. In clause 7.2.3(a) of the Conditions of Use, under the subheading “Non Rewards Card Accounts”, the following two bullet points are inserted before the first bullet point:
    • Low Fee Card Account.
    • Low Fee Platinum Card Account.

Important Updates to the Westpac Rewards Credit Cards Concierge Service Terms & Conditions (“Concierge Terms”)


From 1 March 2019, the 55 Day Gold Card Account will be renamed the “Low Fee Platinum Card Account” and will be made eligible for the Westpac Concierge service. As a result, from 1 March 2019, the following changes to the Concierge Terms will be effective. All other terms of the Concierge Terms will remain unchanged. Please read these changes together with the Concierge Terms:

 

  1. In clause 1.2 of the Concierge Terms, the words, "Westpac Low Fee Platinum Cards" are inserted after the words 'Westpac Earth Black Cards".
  2. In clause 1.3 of the Concierge Terms, the following two bullet points are inserted after the bullet point “Westpac Earth Black Additional Cardholders".
    • Westpac Low Fee Platinum Cardholders.
    • Westpac Low Fee Platinum Additional Cardholders.

We regularly review our credit card products.  As a result from 1 March 2019 your 55 Day Gold Mastercard will be renamed the Low Fee Platinum Mastercard, which will be reflected in your credit card statements and Online Banking.

The changes described in the email will apply automatically.  If you would like to know what other credit cards are available, visit a branch, contact your Relationship Manager or contact us on 1300 651 089 between 8am - 8pm (AEST), Monday - Saturday.

No. You will continue to have 55 days interest free on purchases when you pay your balance in full each month.

Your Low Fee Platinum Card may have some improved complimentary insurance covers such as overseas travel insurance for trips up to 6 months (provided you are eligible for this cover), transit accident insurance cover up to the value of $750,000, and extended warranty insurance for up to 2 years (see the Westpac Credit Cards Complimentary Insurance Policy for details including limits and exclusions).

 

Plus, your Low Fee Platinum Card will come with access to a Platinum Priority Service line and access to Westpac Concierge.

Our dedicated Westpac Concierge services are on-call to fulfil your requests, from restaurant bookings and party planning, to tickets to your favourite game.

 

Plus, you can also contact your Platinum Priority Service Line with both services available on 1300 859 100 for help 24/7, both services will be available to you from 1 March 2019.

No.  If we change your fees or rates, we will notify you in accordance with your Credit Card Contract.

No.  You can keep using your current credit card as normal.  You will ordinarily receive the new Low Fee Platinum Card on or before the expiry date of your existing 55 Day Gold Card, or if it is lost or stolen and you request a replacement credit card. 

If you would like a replacement credit card earlier than on or before the expiry date of your existing 55 Day Gold Card, on and from 1 March 2019 please visit a branch, contact your relationship manager or contact us on 1300 859 100 between 8am - 8pm (AEST), Monday – Saturday, on or after 1 March 2019.  We’re here to help.

The changes described in the email will still apply automatically on 1 March 2019, and your existing arrangements will remain in place with Customer Assist.
